Greetings from AIIMS Bhopal. After the great success of the last edition of Forensic update-V, AIIMS Bhopal is now organizing the 6th edition of Forensic Update, a hands-on workshop on Forensic Toxicology on 08th & 09th September 2023.
Forensic Toxicology has been an integral part of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology. But the practical scope and practice all over India have been vastly limited to doing an autopsy in poisoning cases and preservation of viscera.
To expand the scope, toxicology needs to be integrated with Clinical Forensic Medicine and Analytical Toxicology. Labs need to be developed in the forensic medicine department to detect common poisoning cases.

This workshop inclined to impart hands on knowledge and skills to the participants to identify the clinical toxidromes and to perform basic analytical tests to detect common poisons. This will motivate the young minds to develop toxicology in their respective department to its fullest.
