On behalf of Executive Committee of The Cytometry Society (TCS), India, it gives me immense pleasure to inform you all about the forthcoming 18th Annual Conference and workshops of the TCS, to be held in the picturesque location of the costal jewel, Goa, India. As you are all aware, TCS is a non-profit organization that serves as a forum to exchange information, foster and present research data, explore new clinical applications, share expanding utility of flow cytometry as well as provide updates of the technological advances and newer utilities. Keeping this ethos of TCS in mind, the executive committee has curated an excellent programme with multiple pre-conference workshops starting on the 22nd of October 2026, eventually culminating with two-day conference on the 25th of October 2026. The meeting boasts of having committed presence some of the biggest stalwarts in the field of flow cytometry including, Dr A Orfao and Prof S A Wang, who have kindly consented to be a part of the meeting and shall be sharing their wisdom and experience with us. Additionally, there is a new inclusion of a session by the Australian Society of Flow Cytometry, with whom the Cytometry Society India has a collaboration and understanding to provide platform for cross-sharing of the work that is being done under these societies’ in their respective regions, giving and new and unique flavour to the academic event. While the conference provides an excellent opportunity for learning, sharing and networking to everyone, it also provides an opportunity to our young and budding nextgen flow cytometrists’ to learn by participating in the workshops, plenary sessions, meet-the-expert sessions, as well as share their work by way of presentations (both poster and oral abstract), on the largest flow cytometry platform of the country. Like in the past, the society shall be awarding multiple travel grants to students, scientists and laboratory physicians for exceptional work, with the aim of encouraging youngsters to take up this rapidly growing, unique and exceptionally interesting technique, fostering the growth of flow cytometry not only in our country, but in the region at large.

While academics would be the focus, the costal state of Goa, India, provides a unique opportunity to explore and enjoy its picturesque beauty of the Arabian Sea coastline, Goan cuisine, fun and frolic.
