As has been notified earlier, the SSI / SPOSI is holding its Annual Conference in physical/hybrid mode at PGI Chandigarh on 3rd and 4rth December 2022. The pre-conference sessions will be held on Friday, the 2nd of December 2022.

The conference will provide a unique platform for scientific/ social interaction among distinguished colleagues/members and an opportunity to exchange views/opinions on recent trends and controversies in the specialty of Strabismus and Pediatric Ophthalmology.

On behalf of the executive, as secretary of. Society, I take this opportunity to extend a warm invitation to you for attending the conference and enriching the scientific content from your vast experience in the specialty.

Kindly send your abstracts/topics under the following categories to sposi.india2021@gmail.com by 30.9. 22 positively-

1- Abstracts for competitive sessions, Free Paper sessions/ scientific posters/ interesting cases/ video presentations. The abstract for FPs / electronic posters should be structured as Purpose, material, Methods, Results, and conclusion, not to exceed 200 words. Abstracts not accepted as FPs may be accepted as E posters.

2-Faculty talk under strabismus/ Pediatric ophthalmology. Two topics from areas of interest may be sent, one will be included.

3- Debates and controversies in strabismus and Pediatric Ophthalmology.

4- Symposium on 'Case-based approach to strabismus and Pediatric Ophthalmology.

5- A PG session is being initiated this year to encourage participation from the youngsters. It will include a thesis and other topics of interest.

6- It is also proposed to introduce a quiz program this year for youngsters.

7- There will be an international online session on Sunday morning, 4rth December 2022.

8- Entries solicited for other awards as per the terms and conditions of the awards on the website.

This year, the election will be held only for one post of Vice President, those desirous to contest, may file their nominations to Prof. A. K. Khurana, the Election officer as per eligibility criteria at drkhurana8@gmail.com by 30. 9. 2022. No nomination fee is to be paid this year.
