It is our proud privilege to welcome you all to the 1" National Conference & Pre-conference workshops of the Stillbirth Society of India at PGIMER, Chandigarh on August 12th and 13th, 2023. The Theme of the conference is Preventing Preventable Stillbirths.
The conference focuses on stillbirth from the present Global and Indian perspective, pathological evaluation of a stillbirth, bereavement care, and targeting the major causes of stillbirth. The pre-conference workshops on the 12th of August include practical tips and hands-on teaching by coveted teachers on Reducing intrapartum stillbirths- Improving Intrapartum care, Cardiotocography, Instrumental/ Breech delivery, Perinatal pathology, and a Public forum for mothers and health professionals.
We cordially invite you to join us in this venture and look forward to your active participation in this academic event. Postgraduates will have the opportunity to participate in hands-on learning of tools in intrapartum care, present research papers, and win prizes in posters, paper presentations, and quiz.

Stillbirth Society of India is a non-profit organization consisting of healthcare professionals, researchers, and individuals who have come together with the aim of reducing stillbirths and improving care for families who experience such tragedies.
The stillbirth society of India is the first formal organization to be registered in India in affiliation to International Stillbirth Alliance (ISA). The society aims to focus on different aspect of stillbirths, from data, guidelines, each causative factor to placental pathology & fetal autopsy. The society is much awaited need for the women of India who have lost and grieve the loss of their babies. Public awareness is lacking, the loss is still regarded as taboo; we need to start talking and inviting these women to be a part of the change. A life-shattering event for many couples which leads to depression and mental health issues. Bereavement care training to be supportive of these couples is needed.
Bringing together people from all aspects of maternity care in India, to share, discuss, learn, and prevent will impact the numbers.
We welcome all stakeholders to come and join us, together we can do so much.
Preventing a stillbirth is a lifetime of love and livelihood for a family!
