The North Zone Ophthalmological Society consists of Ophthalmologists from the states of Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Uttarakhand, and the Union Territory of Chandigarh. NZOS organized OPHTHACON - 2022/ NZOS EYECON - 2022 /34th North Zone Ophthalmological Society Conference & 24th Punjab Ophthalmological Society Conference from 28th to 30th October 2022 at The Golden City Amritsar.

The objects of the society are the cultivation and promotion of the study and practice of ophthalmic sciences, research, and manpower development with a view to rendering service to the community and promoting social contacts among ophthalmologists of the country.

We organize Annual Conferences in different states by rotation. In these conferences, a number of scientific programs, Symposia, Seminars, Workshops, Refresher courses, and Live Surgery, etc., etc. are conducted for the promotion and mutual exchange of knowledge in the field of Ophthalmic science.

The society also gives incentives to the Members in the form of Awards, Orations, Prizes, and fellowships in recognition of their services in the various specialties. The Chairman of, the Scientific Committee looks after the scientific program of the society.

The Society has an Editor - Journal who functions under the aid and advice of the Editorial Board.
