ONCO PULMOCON 2023

About Event

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

It gives us immense pleasure to extend a warm invitation to attend and participate in the 1st TMC National Conference on Onco-Pulmonology and Interventional Pulmonology (ONCO-PULMOCON 2023) from 22nd to 24th September 2023, at Tata Memorial Centre, Mumbai (Asia Pacific Regional Training Centre in Onco-Pulmonology and Interventional Pulmonology) organized by the Department of Pulmonary Medicine under the auspices of the Thoracic Oncology Disease Management Group (DMG), Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai.

The last few decades have seen extraordinary strides in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer, especially lung cancer. Our new armamentarium in the fight against cancer includes immunotherapy, targeted therapy, etc. This has resulted in prolonged survival across all stages. These new treatments are not without challenges and toxicities especially pulmonary.

The goal of this academic program is to introduce pulmonologists and oncologists to the respiratory issues and dilemmas that are prevalent and often unique to cancer patients and to inculcate awareness amongst both, pulmonologists and oncologists alike, regarding the important role of a pulmonologist in a multi-disciplinary team (MDT) member in synergy with Oncologists.

We encourage pulmonologists, oncologists, physicians, and researchers with an interest in thoracic oncology to attend this conference. The Scientific program is made keeping in mind the varied pulmonology issues for oncology patients.

Onco-Pulmonology is accorded very limited exposure in Pulmonary postgraduate training programs in India. Keeping this in mind, we have planned a virtual pre-Conference Lung Cancer Symposium on the preceding weekend, Sunday 17th September 2023 on lung cancer to bring participants up to date on the basics of lung cancer diagnosis, staging, and management. This will be followed by the on-site Conference on day 1 (open to pulmonologists, oncologists, and physicians) and 2 days of hands-on workshop on Interventional Pulmonology (restricted to pulmonologists) from 22-24 September.

There will be unlimited global access for the Virtual pre-Conference Lung Cancer Symposium. Given below is an outline of the proposed academic program and the registration fees. Registrations open in June 2023 and delegates have to complete registration formalities themselves online. You are advised to look up our Conference website for further details. Trainees are advised to please register and book your travel and stay much in advance to avoid cost escalations in travel and lodging. We look forward to meeting and welcoming you.
