Even while 2.5 crore children are born in India every year, one of these babies dies every minute. Prematurely (35%), Neonatal Infection (33%), birth asphyxia (20%), and congenital malformation (9%) are the major causes of newborn deaths. The neonatal period is a critical window of opportunity for the prevention and management of life-threatening events. Simple and effective intervention can drastically reduce the neonatal mortality rate (presently 26/1000 life births).

EVERY NEWBORN – SURVIVE & THRIVE. Thus this convention envisages high-quality brainstorming sessions on various topics including advances in neonatal medicine, cutting-edge technology for neonatal care, diagnosis & interventions, and public health policies dedicated to creating vast outreach to each and every newborn in India. These efforts will go a long way in defining optimum neonatal care to each newborn and ultimately rein in neonatal mortality rate. Threadbare discussion in the latest research will be an integral part of the convention.
