The 12th mid-annual conference of IADVL - Middermacon is being organized on 13,14,15th September 2024 by IADVl Jharkhand in the beautiful city of Ranchi, also known as the city of waterfalls. It’s a matter of great honor and pride for our small but enthusiastic branch to organize an event of this magnitude and we thank you all for entrusting us with this prestigious event.
Dermatology is going through an exciting time, with new sub-specialties like aesthetic dermatology, pediatric dermatology, interventional dermatology, dermatopathology, and many others emerging as super–specialties. The advent of AI, online consultation platforms, and overlap with other specialties is throwing some new challenges. The menace of quackery is at its peak, with cosmetology clinics mushrooming everywhere with pseudo trained cosmetologists. At this mega event we would like to find answer to some of these questions. The academic team under the able guidance of Dr. Y A Lal is putting up an academic program with a perfect blend of disease and desire dermatology. Along with dermatology, we will also be having sessions on acquiring soft skills, basic financial understanding and entrepreneurship, and an outlook about life beyond dermatology. We sincerely hope that the most prominent of the academicians of the country will participate as faculty to raise the standard of the conference to a high notch.
Ranchi is a beautiful city, surrounded by pristine hills and lush green forests. It was the erstwhile, summer capital of Bihar and was always patroned for its salubrious climate by the rich and famous. It is surrounded by beautiful waterfalls which are at their best in September, middle of a monsoon. There are some exotic and beautiful tourist places in and around Ranchi which will appeal equally to adventurous souls, peace-loving people, religious tourists, and the cyclist gang. We will be having an extensive and inclusive tourism program and we have whole hearted support of the tourism department for the same.
Jharkhand is known for its sporting legends, name M S Dhoni being synonym with Ranchi. We have had many sporting legends like Olympians in both men and female hockey and several exciting bunch of cricketers like Ishan kishan, Saurabh Tiwari and many more. We are having one of the most beautiful cricket stadiums in the country and we hope to have one of the evenings at the same venue attended by some of these legends. We are known for our hospitality. Our local cuisines are a combination of mouthwatering delight and healthy platter. We extend our invitation to you to come and experience nature's hidden paradise – Ranchi. Drive through beautiful hairpin loops of Patratu Valley, witness the grandeur of Dasam, Hundru, and Jonha falls, and experience the colonial life in Mckluskigung – the only ‘muluk’ of Anglo Indian community. Experience serenity at the Parasnath hills, and witness the beauty of Netarhat – the queen of hill stations. Come to Ranchi and take back a piece of Jharkhand in your heart. Johar.
