The Kerala Chapter of DFSI is organizing its first annual conference - KDFSICON 2023 at Thiruvananthapuram on the 15th and 16th of July 2023. This two-day conference is an academic feast featuring Lectures, Panel discussions, and a live surgical workshop for the management of various diabetic foot problems and plastic surgery procedures, with the participation of National and International experts.  

Diabetes, being the number one public health problem in Kerala, results in a huge number of diabetic foot cases, many of which are not optimally managed, resulting in a disproportionately high number of amputations; - a problem with medical, socio-economic, and quality of life issues which demands our immediate attention. This requires adequately trained, medical personnel and skilled paramedical support staff, aimed at early detection of diabetic foot and appropriate management. 

We, the organizing team wholeheartedly request you to be an active participant in this event, familiarize yourself with the latest advances in the care of diabetic foot, and enjoy the traditional hospitality of the capital city of Kerala.
