Dear Colleague, Greetings from ISG and MAHAISG! This year 2020 has brought about a tremendous change all over the world! With the exponential global rise of Covid-19, the world is experiencing and learning to adapt to a new Normal! Lockdowns, travel restrictions and social distancing have resulted in conferences getting cancelled or indefinitely postponed. Academic activities are taking a new form by way of virtual meetings, webinars and conferences. It is at such a time that the Indian Society of Gastroenterology enters its Diamond Jubilee year! Although a regular physical ISGCON has been ruled out this year, ISG has always been committed to provide a platform for education, research and learning for all its members!

We are happy to announce that 61st Annual Conference of Indian Society of Gastroenterology will be conducted virtually this year! The new dates for the Virtual Diamond Jubilee ISGCON 2020 are 19-20th December 2020! Although the meeting is curtailed to a two-day virtual format, the organizing and scientific teams are working hard to ensure a great academic and scientific program to all participants. The conference program will consist of Orations, Plenary Sessions and Invited Lectures or Symposia, along with E-Posters and Video Sessions. Delegate interaction and participation are cornerstones of any conference, and the organizing team is trying hard to create a novel interactive digital virtual platform that will enhance the attendee experience!

Abstract submission for ISGCON is already open and we look forward to your active participation to submit your research! Interactive E-poster and Video sessions are planned to showcase this research! All these sessions are competitive and attractive awards await the winners! Social events form a major attraction during regular ISGCON meetings. Keeping this in mind, a surprise virtual social event on the evening of the conference is being planned! More details about this will follow soon!
