We cordially invite you to participate in the International Conference on “Integrative Chemical Science for Health and Environment” on 06-08 October 2023. This conference is being organized by the Department of Chemistry, Deshbandhu College, University of Delhi, India in association with Augusta University, USA; Indian Society of Chemists & Biologists (ISCB) and the Indian Association of Solid-State Chemists and Allied Scientists (ISCAS). It is a three-day event that spotlights the environmentalist, health experts, academicians, and researchers, to showcase recent advances, trends, strategies, and challenges of good health and a clean environment. The conference aims to promote scientific network, research, and collaboration among experts from all over the world. The conference is also open to industry personnel to showcase their products and developments. Besides invited talks of stalwarts and plenary keynote speakers, there shall be both oral and poster presentations of contributed research papers. The program includes several sessions over three days, which will present the state of research in health, environment and society. The prizes will be awarded to the best oral and poster presentations. Selected papers will be published as full-length articles in the special issues of SCOPUS-indexed journals after peer review. Deshbandhu College, established in 1952 is the oldest and the largest co-educational institution in South Delhi and promotes Arts, Commerce, and Science courses. The college offers seven postgraduate and eighteen undergraduate courses in disciplines ranging from languages/literature, History, Political Science, Economics, Commerce, and all major branches of Sciences and Mathematics. It caters to more than 4500 students every year. Presently, it has secured an A++ grade with a 3.65 score from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council  (NAAC) and has been ranked 17th in the NIRF ranking in India. The sprawling campus of Deshbandhu College, with its lawns, gardens, and playground provides a healthy environment for the all-round development of the generations to come. The campus is dotted with an administrative block, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar block, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam block, Swami Vivekananda auditorium, a huge library, a newly developed extension of science block with all state-of-art facilities, well-equipped laboratories, together with students common rooms, gymnasium, canteen, photocopy facility, web access center, medical room, banking facility, a seminar hall, and a botanical garden. The newly developed biodiversity park and i4 - center for Research and Training are other additional states–of–art facilities in the college. The college has fully functional research laboratories to pursue Doctoral and Post Doctoral research.

The Department of Chemistry of Deshbandhu College was established in the year 1952. The faculty takes pride in teaching cross sections of students enrolled in various courses and providing practical training to the students as per their academic curriculum. The courses offer immense opportunities for further studies in Biochemistry, Nanotechnology, Green Chemistry, Polymer Sciences, Agrochemical Sciences, Environmental Science, and other related fields. The department also has a special facility for advanced lab-based research work for doctoral projects. Every year distinguished speakers are invited to update the students about the latest trends in chemistry. In order to give market exposure to students, summer training projects are also conducted for undergraduate students. The department is proud to have a committed faculty that has excelled in research publication, book writing, and teaching.
