It gives us immense pleasure to invite all of you to the 30th International Conference of the Indian Association of Palliative Care to be held in the Garden City of Bengaluru.
The theme this year is unique, and so are the scientific sessions. The immense need for palliative care in non-cancer conditions and the enthusiasm shown by the various subspecialities has the potential to transform the scope of palliative care. This has germed the theme of the conference, that of bringing together a wide spectrum of people involved in the care of people with advanced illnesses.
The Scientific Committee, headed by Prof Naveen Salins, promises to make this conference interesting, but with a difference.
The scientific sessions will be planned as major and minor tracks. Palliative care in neurology, pulmonology, nephrology, cardiology, oncology and intensive care will be standalone single sessions traversing the entire day, integrating the medical, nursing, psychosocial, spiritual, and other aspects. Minor tracks will cover several novel intersection topics on advancements in medicine and its relevance to palliative care.
