Dear Fellow Members of IAGES

To come to Coimbatore for the next IAGES Meeting is a challenging shift from recent venues of IAGES conferences, all of which have raised the bar.

Coimbatore, apart from being one of the most progressive cities, has from the inception of Laparoscopic Surgery in India been an important hub of Laparoscopic Surgery, spread of Laparoscopy in India and Laparoscopic Surgical Training.

We are fortunate that this Conference is under the Chairmanship of Dr. L. P. Thangavelu, with Dr. Ashwin Thangavelu as Organising Secretary, both well known and respected for their organising abilities and warmth.

This augurs well for a memorable Conference in terms of the ultimate in academic and state-of-the-art Laparoscopic Surgery.

I am sure the dedicated support of the local Laparoscopic community and backing of the entire IAGES committees and membership will ensure this will be a memorable get-together of IAGES for advancing our knowledge, exchange of thoughts, good fellowship and hospitality. Please mark the dates 9th to 12th Feb 2023 in your diaries for an educative, delightful get together IAGES 2023 at Coimbatore.
