Greetings from IAGES Central Office

IAGES has now become one of the largest academic forums on the global stage of Minimal Access Surgery with close to 10000 members. Teaching, training, and knowledge sharing are the key attributes of our association. FIAGES (Fellowship in Essential laparoscopic Surgery), EFIAGES (Fellowship in Basic flexible endoscopy) FALS (Fellowship in advanced laparoscopic Surgery in 7 subspecialties namely Upper GI, HPB, Colorectal surgery, Bariatric surgery, Robotic surgery, Hernia, and Oncology) FAGIE ( Fellowship in advanced gastrointestinal endoscopy in 4 subspecialties namely Colonoscopy, ERCP, Therapeutic Upper GI, and 3rd space endoscopy) are the regular fellowship courses held periodically in various teaching institutions across our country

Thanks to Dr. Deep Goel and Dr. Tarun Mittal under the guidance of Dr. Randeep Wadhawan, IAGES FALS board Chairman, we are pleased to host FALS Bariatrics Fellowship Course and CME in Delhi.

FALS Bariatric Surgery is the advanced MAS course in the art and science of obesity/metabolic surgery with key lectures, panel discussions, and live operative workshops to fine-tune our cognitive and technical skills. There will also be special emphasis on the team approach, the role of nutrition, and the impact of endoscopy and robotics in bariatric surgery. This will be followed by an assessment module with 100 questions MCQ and Viva for all fellowship candidates joining as examination category.

All surgeons with more than 3 years of experience in this chosen specialty after MS/DNB are eligible to take up this fellowship course. Successful fellowship candidates will be conferred FALS Bariatrics (Fellowship of IAGES) during the convocation on 4th February 2024 in Chennai.

Please note that IAGES membership and registration to IAGES 2024 Chennai are prerequisites for obtaining fellowship certification.
