Rhetorica - Debate Competition - Rules & Guidelines
1. The topic of the debate will be given 24 hours prior to the event.
2. Participants are required to make a team of two (one speaking for and one speaking against the motion).
3. In case any participant is unable to form a team, the organisers will assign a teammate.
4. Time for speaking - 3+1 minutes.
5. After each speech, participants will be allotted 1 minute for rebuttal.
6. Points will be deducted on exceeding the time.
Clinical Paper Presentation

Paper Presentation - Rules & Guidelines -
1. Duration is 6+1 minutes for both CLINICAL and PRE CLINICAL category.
2. Powerpoint presentations are to be made.
3. No video clips allowed.
4. Last date for abstract submission of both category is February 16 by 5 PM.
5. Please send in your abstracts to ghoshkathamala96@gmail.com.
6. Name of the presenter, his/her designation, name of the college along with a picture of their college ID card must be emailed with the abstract.
7. No word document to be attached.
8. Name of the presenter with designation should be clearly mentioned in the first slide.
9. PGTs must mention their stream and year.
Brainbuzz - Quiz Competition - Rules & Guidelines
1. Participants are required to make a team of two.
2. In case any participant is unable to form a team, the organisers will assign a teammate.
3. If the number of teams exceed 10, an elimination round will be conducted.
Meme-o-Calypse - Online Meme Contest - Rules & Guidelines
1. Participation is Open to all.
2. Format: Memes can be in the form image, video or GIFs.
3. Size: Images should be in JPEG or PNG format and should not exceed 10MB.
4. Content: The meme should not offend any individual or group.
Saalam-e-Slam - Online Slam Poetry Contest - Rules & Guidelines
1. Participation is Open to all.
2. Format: Poem should be submitted in JPEG or PNG format.
3. Language: Poem can be written in English, Hindi or Bengali.
4. Content: The content of the poem should not offend any individual or group.
Wall of Wonders - Wall Painting Competition - Rules & Guidelines:
General Rules
1. Theme: The theme for the competition is "Flora and Fauna of India".
2. Team Size: Participants can work in teams of upto 4 members.
3. Participation will be on first come first serve basis and only 5 teams are allowed in total.
Painting Guidelines
1. Wall Space: Each team will be allocated specific wall space for painting.
2. Paint and Materials: Participants should bring their own paint and materials.
3. Shape and Size: Painting should fit within the allocated wall space.
4. Content: Should be relevant to the theme and should not offend any individual or group.
Mic Drop - Open Mic - Rules & Guidelines
1. Time limit: Each performer will get a limited time slot i.e. 4 minutes 30 seconds. The performer must start their set on time and respect the time limits.
2. Content: Performers are responsible for their own content and must ensure that it is respectful and suitable for the audience. The content should be suitable for all ages and must refrain from using offensive language or material.
Nukkad Natak (Drama/Skit/Street Play on Socio-Economic Theme) - Rules and Guidelines
These rules and guidelines pertain to the Nukkad Natak competition. All participating teams are expected to adhere to these regulations.
1. Eligibility
This is a group performance competition. Each team can have a maximum of 8 participants.
2. Time Limit
Each performance must adhere to a time limit of 5-8 minutes. Strict adherence to the stipulated time is mandatory.
3. Language
The primary language of the performance may be Bengali, Hindi, English, or a combination of these languages.
4. Script The script can be original or an adaptation.
5. Music
External music is allowed.
6. Props
No props will be provided. Teams may use their own props, but they are responsible for bringing them. Teams may need to confirm the validity of props with the organizers before bringing them.
7. Content Restrictions
The use of vulgar words, acts, and expressions is strictly prohibited. Any such usage may result in penalties, ranging from point deduction to disqualification. Teams should have decency in their behavior, attire, and performance. Performances must avoid any content deemed offensive, political, or controversial.
Additional points to consider:
• The competition will be conducted in an open space.
• Microphones, speakers, and music systems are not allowed. Teams can sing or dance to sound create the necessary music or sound.
• Teams must rehearse/practice the play well in advance.
• The decision of the judges will be final and binding on all teams.
Fashion Show: Cult Couture - Rules and Guidelines
These rules and guidelines pertain to the Cult Couture Fashion Show. All participating teams are expected to adhere to these regulations.
1. Eligibility
This is a group performance competition. Each team must consist of a minimum of 8 participants and a maximum of 15 participants. Back-end team members are allowed to assist with the performance and props.
2. Time Limit
Each team will be allotted 12 minutes for their performance, with an additional 1-minute buffer time. Negative marking will be applied if the performance exceeds the time limit.
3. Theme
The fashion show can be based on any theme chosen by the group.
4. Tagline
Each group must create a tagline that represents their group and the chosen theme.
5. Music
The music track for the presentation must be arranged and submitted beforehand by the group.
6. Conduct and Decency
Vulgarity is strictly prohibited. Any form of obscenity will lead to the team's disqualification from the contest. Costumes should not be too revealing or suggestive. All costumes are permitted, provided they maintain decency, including original costumes and fashion designs. Purchased, professionally made, or rented costumes are permitted.
7. Judging Criteria
The participants will be judged on the following criteria:
• Costumes and Makeup (10 marks): Aesthetics, creativity, and appropriateness of the costumes and makeup in relation to the theme.
Theme Justification (10 marks): Clear and compelling representation and explanation of the
chosen theme.
Walking Stance and Attitude (10 marks): Confidence, poise, and style exhibited by the models.
Background Music (10 marks): Appropriateness and effectiveness of the music in enhancing the theme and overall performance.
• Tagline (10 marks): Creativity, relevance, and impact of the tagline in representing the group and theme.
Total Marks (50 marks): The cumulative score from all judging categories.
Laasya Tarang - Solo Eastern Dance Competition: Rules and Guidelines
These rules and guidelines pertain to the Solo Eastern Classical Dance Competition. All participants are expected to adhere to these regulations.
1. Eligibility
This is a solo competition; only individual performances are permitted.
2. Dance Style
Performances must be in a recognized classical dance style originating from the Eastern tradition. Approved schools of dance include, but are not limited to: Kathak, Kathakali, Bharat Natyam, Manipuri, Kuchipudi, Mohiniattam, Odissi
3. Content Restrictions
All lyrics and presentations must be appropriate for a general audience. Vulgarity and/or provocative content are strictly prohibited.
4. Time Limit
Each performance must adhere to a strict time limit of 4-5 minutes. Performances exceeding this time limit may be penalized.
5. Judging Criteria
Performances will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
• Taal and Rhythm (10 marks): Accuracy and precision in maintaining the rhythmic structure of the chosen style.
• Choreography and Technique (10 marks): Skillful execution of dance movements, demonstrating a command of the chosen style's technical elements and creative choreography.
• Abhinaya or Expression (10 marks): Effective communication of emotions and narrative through facial expressions, gestures, and body language. Hand & Eye Movements, Footwork (10 marks): Graceful and precise hand and eye •

Interpretation and Musicianship (10 marks): Artistry in conveying the musical style, tempo, dynamics, and emotional depth of the piece. The ability to engage listeners through expressive performance.
• Showmanship, Poise, and Posture (10 marks): Overall stage presence, confidence, and appropriate posture, demonstrating professional and engaging conduct.
Total Marks (50 marks): The aggregate score derived from all individual judging categories.
## Treasure Hunt - Rules & Guidelines
1. Each team will have five members (subject to change in case there are more number of participants).
2. The teams will be made merely on chit basis.
3. Clues will be given to each team.
4. The team needs to find the location mentioned in the clue.
5. These locations include the whole of Guru Nanak College Campus and nearby areas of Sodepur.
6. Each correct location will have the clue to the next location.
7. The team to first reach the final location will win the game.
## COD Mobile Duo Multiplayer Tournament - Rules
1. General Eligibility & Registration:
Team Structure: The event is for Duo teams (two players per team).
Account Requirements: Players must use their personal COD Mobile accounts and should have an active account in good standing (no penalties or bans).
Registration: Players must register in advance, with their duo partner's details. Substitutions are generally not allowed after registration, except in exceptional cases.
2. Match Format & Game Modes:
Game Modes: All matches will be played in Multiplayer modes (such as TDM, Domination, Hardpoint, .). The specific mode for each round will be announced prior to the event.
Match Duration: Each match will have a set duration (e.g., 5-10 minutes) or until a specific objective is reached (such as score limits for TDM or Domination).
Server Settings: All matches must be played on official COD Mobile servers or those provided by the event organizers to ensure faimess.
3. Teams: Each team must consist of two players or more.
Team Composition: Teams must stick to the pre-defined loadouts (weapons, perks, and equipment) as specified by the event organizers, or use standard settings if no
customization is allowed.
Connection Issues: if a player disconnects during a match, they may be allowed to rejoin. depending on the circumstances.
4. Match Rules:
TDM (Team Deathmatch): Teams will compete to reach a certain number of kills (e.g., 40 kills) or a set time limit (e.g., 5-10 minutes). The team with the most kills at the end wins.
Domination: Teams must capture and hold control points on the map. The team with the
highest score after a set time wins.
Hardpoint: Teams will fight to control rotating hardpoints on the map. The team with the most time spent in the hardpoints wins.
5. Fair Play & Conduct: All players are expected to show good sportsmanship.

##Flash of Brilliance - Photography Competition - Rules & Guidelines
Contest tenure: 20th February - 27th February, 2025.
Entry closing time: 26th February, 2025 (12 Noon).
Entries need to be sent to: submissions@dreamzsynapsis.in.
Participants must submit images along with their name, name of their college, year of study, contact number and email address.
Basic editing like cropping, filtering, colour enhancement etc. are acceptable unless those are tampering genuineness of the image. Judges may ask for RAW/JPEG files for verification.
Participants may submit maximum of 2 entries.
There are 2 categories: Camera Photography & Mobile Photography.
Participants may submit their photographs with unique title and description.
It is COMPULSORY for the participants to be present on the day of the event. Judging and announcement of the final results will occur on the same day.
Top 3 photographs will be selected for 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions.
##Badminton Tournament - Rules & Guidelines
Team Composition: Each team should consist of two players (any gender).
Match Format:
1. Scoring System:
Commonly, the rally point system is used.
A game is played to 11 POINTS. A match is typically played as the best of 2 games.
If both teams reach 10 points, the game continues until one team leads by 2 points.
2. Serving Rules:
The server must serve diagonally from the right side to the opponent's right service court and from the left side to the left service court.
The server must serve underhand and below the waist. The shuttlecock must land in the opponent's diagonal service box.
Each player serves in rotation.
The service alternates between the two players on each team after a point is scored.
3. Conduct:
Respect and good sportsmanship should be maintained at all times.

Participants must sign a waiver acknowledging that they are physically capable of competing and participating in the event.
Participants must wear appropriate athletic clothing.
Competitors will be disqualified if they exhibit unsafe or improper form or fail to adhere to the
competition rules.

Time limit for each is 60 seconds seperately.
Doing every one of them perfectly within time will gain 1 point for each rep.
## Serenade - Solo Singing Competition: Rules and Guidelines
These rules and guidelines pertain to the Solo Vocal Competition. All participants are expected to adhere to these regulations.
###1. Time Limit
Each performance must adhere to a time limit of 3-4 minutes. Strict adherence to the stipulated time is mandatory.
### 2. Lyrics
Participants are not allowed to refer to the lyrics while singing.
###3. Instruments
Participants are responsible for arranging their own musical instruments if required for their
performance.
### 4. Song Choice
The choice of song is open to the participants, provided that the song does not contain any slangs or derogatory language.
###5. Submission of Lyrics
Participants must submit a printed copy of the lyrics to the event coordinator on the day of the competition.
###6. Judging Criteria
Performances will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
Song Selection & Musical Presentation (10 marks): Appropriateness of the song choice and overall musical arrangement.
Voice Quality and Clarity of Words (10 marks): Vocal tone, control, and clear
pronunciation of the lyrics.
Lyrics (10 marks): Content, meaning, and impact of the lyrics.
Tune and Rhythm (10 marks): Accuracy in maintaining the melody and rhythm of the song.
Confidence and Stage Presence (10 marks): Poise, charisma, and engagement with the audience.
Total Marks (50 marks): The cumulative score from all judging categories.
##Bhaav-Katha - Eastern Group Dance Competition: Rules and Guidelines

Performances will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
Justification of Theme (10 marks): Clarity and effectiveness in representing and justifying the chosen theme through the dance performance.
Dramatic Presentation and Synchronization (10 marks): Effectiveness of the dramatic elements and the synchronization of movements among team members. Versatility (10 marks): Variety and adaptability demonstrated in the dance movements and
expressions. Stage Utilization (10 marks): Creative and effective use of the stage space.

1. The decisions of the judging panel are final and binding in all matters related to the competition.

## Step Up: Showdown-Western Group Dance Event: Rules and Guidelines
These rules and guidelines pertain to the Step Up: Showdown Western Group Dance Event. All participating teams are expected to adhere to these regulations.
###1. Eligibility
This is a group competition with a minimum of 2 participants and a maximum of 8 participants.
###2. Time Limit
Each team will be allotted 5 minutes, which includes 4 minutes for the performance and 1 minute for preparation.
Marks will be deducted if the performance exceeds the time limit.
###3. Dance Style
All forms of Western dance are allowed, including freestyle and Bollywood.
### 4. Music
Songs with vulgar language are not permitted. Use of such language can lead to exclusion from the event.
