Indian Orthopedics Association (IOA) Organized the Course "CADAVER KNEE ARTHROPLASTY COURSE" at Swami Rama Himalayan University (SRHU) (Joly Grant Medical College) on 16 July 2023.

This course is oriented toward learning;
1. Management of degenerative and traumatic knee injuries.
2. Evaluation, classification, diagnosis, and determination of appropriate timing and indications for intervention.
3. Apply knowledge and skills in the selection and performance of the surgical approach.
Learning Objectives:
• The course aims at educating the basic principles of performing Total Knee Replacement.
Emphasis would be on the hands-on performance of total knee replacement on cadavers under expert supervision.
• Dry station would aim at teaching:
• Pre-operative assessment including templating.
• Details of all instrumentation involved in primary and revision TKR.
• Hands-on exercise of performing TKR on "Arthritic Saw Bone Models".
Exposure to newer modalities like Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality
in TKR. 

• Discussion on rehabilitation and assistive devices in Arthritis (pre and
post-op).
