Dear colleagues, It gives us immense pleasure to welcome you to ASPICON 2026, the 8th National Conference of the Society of Antimicrobial Stewardship Practices in India (SASPI), being hosted at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Bathinda. With the theme “Integrated Antimicrobial Stewardship: Protecting Care, Preserving the Future, ” ASPICON 2026 aims to bring together clinicians, microbiologists, pharmacologists, infection prevention teams, nurses, researchers, and public health professionals on a common platform to strengthen antimicrobial stewardship efforts and address the growing challenge of antimicrobial resistance. The conference has been thoughtfully designed to provide a rich academic experience through expert lectures, interactive panel discussions, and scientific presentations. In addition, eight preconference workshops have been planned, focusing on key components of Integrated Antimicrobial Stewardship, incorporating Diagnostic Stewardship, Antimicrobial Stewardship, and Nursing Stewardship, to encourage evidence-based practices and collaborative learning. We look forward to your active participation, valuable contributions, and meaningful interactions throughout the conference. We also hope you take time to experience the rich cultural heritage of Bathinda, a city known for its historical significance, vibrant Punjabi traditions, warm hospitality, and distinctive local cuisine, making your visit both academically rewarding and culturally enriching.
