On behalf of the organising committee of the APSICON 2020, it is my honour and pleasure to invite you to our annual conference to be held at Leela Ambience at Gurugram, Delhi NCR from October 28 to November 1, 2020. First of all I wish to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to all you members of APSI for having reposed your faith in me by electing me to this august office.

One of the major issues facing our speciality today is the threat of litigation for alleged medical negligence. This is the background of the theme of our conference 'Quality and Safety through Best Practices', I sincerely believe that first step in tackling this menace is to start by setting our own house in order, to do what we must lay down our own clinical guidance protocols for best practices. The second burning issue that we face today is encroachment of our domain by other specialities. We hope to discuss these issues threadbare and forge a pathway to the future guiding us how to do that.

In addition to the usual structured programme of our conference, we plan to have master classes on burning topics, debates on controversial subjects and keynote presentations by renowned national and international faculty.
