PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

Dear colleagues,

It gives me great pleasure to extend my whole hearted welcome to you all to be a part of the academic extravaganza with renowned, experienced and dedicated galaxy of orthopaedic specialist pelvic acetabular surgeons.

The organizing committee has taken great efforts to identify and invite selected pelvic acetabular surgeons who shall candidly discuss, demonstrate and share, in detail, their experiences in different treatment modalities to handle pelvic acetabular trauma. Participants will have the pleasure to know the “Do’s” and “Don’ts” in this specialised field of orthopaedics.

As the host, I assure you that you will have a lot as ‘carry home messages’ – be it, the science, the stay and the hospitality. April will be a pleasant time to be in Belagavi and more so in the evergreen, environmentally conducive and beautiful campus of J.N. Medical College and the K.L.E. University.

Belagavi (Belgaum) akin to Mahabaleshwar, is a pleasant town which is rich historically, culturally and traditionally, placed in the south-west state of Karnataka. The cuisine of Belagavi represents

cultures of 3 regions, viz; Karnataka, Konkan and Maharashtra. It is famous for food like Jowar Roti to Biryani. We look forward to welcome you for this spectacular conference of Pelvic Acetabular Surgeons.

SECRETARY'S MESSAGE

Dear colleagues,

It gives me great pleasure to welcome you all to the 5th Annual Conference of the Association of Pelvic Acetabular Surgeons of India - “AOPAS 2023” from 28 to 30th April 2023 at Belagavi (Belgaum), Karnataka. AOPAS is a 200+ member strong association with the sole purpose to disseminate knowledge and skills related to Pelvic and Acetabular trauma and its management to benefit the Attendees who would be learning from the experts the techniques of this relatively difficult subset of Injuries.

The conference is conducted in association with the Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Belagavi. The venue of the conference is the state-of-the-art KLE Convention Centre, Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Belagavi. The conference shall also have basic and advance workshops and various video techniques on Pelviacetabular Surgeries.

The Organizing Committee with President Dr Dinesh Kale at the helm, as Organizing Chairman, will ensure an academic extravaganza with warm hospitality too. This year we have a star studded expert faculty from across the globe who would share their experience and knowledge for 3 days !

I request you all to register in large numbers and learn the life saving basic skills in Pelviacetabular trauma. Surgeons who are already doing Pelviacetabular Surgeries will be able to further enhance their knowledge and fine tune their skills with certain advanced modules in the conference. Looking forward to meet you all at “AOPAS 2023” in Belagavi.
