Warm greetings from the organizing committee of AMASICON 2022. It is an honour and privilege for us that we have been entrusted to host the 17th International congress of Association of Minimal Access Surgeons of India at Guwahati from 18th to 20th November 2022 in association with Assam State Chapter of Association of Surgeons of India. AMASICON will be organized for the first time in the North Eastern part of India. We have recently crossed a very difficult period because of Covid-19 pandemic. With the grace of God we are hoping to meet each other after a period of two years. We thank Dr. C Palanivelu and the team of AMASI Executive Committee led by President Dr. S Jugindra for their approval and support. It will be a two and a half day conference, the hall mark of which is live workshop in all three days covering almost all the laparoscopic procedures. Stalwarts in the field of laparoscopy from all over India and abroad will demonstrate advanced laparoscopic and robotic surgery and exchange their knowledge with the delegates. The academic exercise will definitely enlighten all of us especially the young surgeons and post graduate students.
