Cosmetic gynecology aims to make enhancements to either the physical appearance or function of the vagina and vulva, often times both goals are achieved at the same time. Notably, cosmetic gynecology is a new, exciting, demanding and progressively expanding specialty. There is an exponential increase in number of patients requesting these procedures faced with very limited trained physicians to perform such services worldwide. The current status of this emerging specialty, mimics the status of the most common cosmetic procedure (liposuction) in the 1990s. There are many patients whom are candidates, a few doctors trained to do it, creating a huge demand in the market for such services. Even patients who are aware of this option for treatment have no means to locate the appropriate provider.
