Institute of Education and Research (IEAR) has taken the initiative to create a community of nursing professionals worldwide. The role of nursing is the backbone of the health and well-being of nations as was demonstrated during the COVID-19 pandemic. Globally, nursing professionals have been at the forefront of fighting the pandemic and have demonstrated immense compassion and courage. We have also experienced the repercussions through increasing rates of PTSD, burnout and exhaustion. As communities and nations recover from the after-effects of COVID-19, nursing professionals will have to play a major role in what comes after. Nursing professionals constitute 60% of the health professional workforce globally, however, WHO estimates that 9 Million additional nurses and midwives will be needed by the year 2030. Investment in nursing education is more important now than ever.
