The Christian Medical College (CMC), Vellore warmly welcomes you to the 3rd National Symposium on Health Data & AI, scheduled for 28–30 January 2027 at Scudder Auditorium, Bagayam, Vellore.

As healthcare becomes increasingly shaped by data and intelligent technologies, this symposium brings an important question to the forefront: How can we move from promising digital models to meaningful outcomes for real patients?

The 2027 edition will look beyond the development of AI tools and examine what is required to successfully introduce them into everyday healthcare. Discussions will address the practical realities of implementation, including health data governance, clinical validation, regulatory preparedness, ethical oversight, interoperability, infrastructure, workforce readiness, patient trust, procurement, and post-deployment monitoring.

The symposium will also examine the challenges faced by hospitals and healthcare professionals, such as fragmented information systems, differences in digital maturity, privacy and consent concerns, algorithmic bias, limited local evidence, workflow constraints, and the gap between AI performance in controlled environments and its effectiveness in real clinical settings.

Participants will have the opportunity to learn from clinicians, researchers, data scientists, policymakers, healthcare administrators, technology professionals, and industry leaders while exploring practical approaches to making AI safer, more useful, equitable, and accessible in healthcare.

The programme also includes hands-on workshops covering areas such as AI for health professions education, radiomics and medical imaging AI, and machine learning for behavioural monitoring using wearable technologies.
